Exercise after cancer is so beneficial after cancer, but knowing how far to push and what steps to take can be unclear... I was always a cardio (running) junkie prior to cancer. During cancer, I turned to gentle yoga (namaste) and walking. This winter I was ready to see what I could learn about exercise, see what my body was capable of, and get some new friends in the process!!! I started LiveStrong after the new year and absolutely LOVED my class!!!
My instructor, Sue Billian, is so knowledgable about exercise science and is so approachable and motivated to helping her class reach their goals! She is a cancer survivor herself and that makes her even more empathetic. We talked about how exercise improved sleeping, mental health, and all facets of physical health.
