So much of my inspiration for my Podcast is driven by Sandy Clausen, my dear friend and pink sister. She died of a recurrence of breast cancer on July 2nd, 2018 and she NEVER gave up fighting!!! I want this podcast to be about the LIFE of a survivor. I want to raise awareness for Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. While Breast Cancer treatments have improved over the years, I know too many hearts that are broken from losing their loved ones too soon to breast cancer.
Sandy was an amazing light in my life. She took me to countless chemo treatments and we always had each other's back. She was little in stature, but big in LOVE. Most of all she adored her daughter Morgan. I will forever miss her.
Not long after she passed away, I saw a cloud while I was running. It was unmistakably in the shape of a cancer awareness ribbon. Tears filled my eyes and ran down my cheeks. I truly felt Sandy's presence and that she was letting me know she was ok. A few weeks later, I saw a cloud of an angel's wing. That's what my heart tells me is that she is an angel, looking over her daughter and countless others. All the love and kindness in her heart is now being shared with millions!
