This week’s guests are two of my favorite people, my pink sisters in crime Alana Kitch and Tiffaney Cline. They have been part of my journey, and they are most definitely what I refer to as “my tribe”. We relate so much to the Golden Girls, because we are all so different and been through so much but still choose to look at life with humor and love!
Alana is a 5 year breast cancer survivor and lives in Kissimmee FL. She works at the happiest place on earth, Disney! Alana talks about life after cancer and how some of the downsides of Instagram followers really turned her off. Alana gives her perspective of how she does not want to talk about cancer all the time. While I spend a LOT of my free time talking about cancer, I have so much respect for her feelings. Each and every survivor is unique!
Tiffaney is a 6 year breast cancer survivor and lives in Baltimore, MD. She is originally from Oklahoma and you can still detect a lil’ southern drawl. Tiffaney describes the hardship of being a thousand miles away from her loved ones during a cancer diagnosis and finding support. She also describes life after cancer, how she is dedicated to helping others going through breast cancer so they don’t feel alone and what it’s like dating after a breast cancer diagnosis.
The weekend was filled with laughter, lots of pictures (silly and fun), lots of “Thanks Rob” jokes. Rob decided to cancel our AirBnB at the last moment, but like life with cancer, you roll with the punches and find the silver lining!! After cancer, you can complain or you can laugh about it!!!
