DJ BREAST CANCER

A Podcast on Tina's Breast Cancer Journey, a "Girlfriend's Guide" to Breast Cancer.

Tina's story must be told.  She has lived the breast cancer journey both as the survivor and the daughter of one.  Tina knows both sides of the story.  She has been the ears that have heard, the eyes that have watched, and the hand holder.  She too has been the body that has been sick, weak, and worn.  Her soul has come forward with unyielding optimism about her own future and that of her fellow survivors.  Through her experiences, those affected by breast cancer will find inspiration that they too can hope for a promising future that will wipe away the pain of the past, replacing it with joy and gratitude.  Sit back and listen in to her inspirational Podcast debut, DJ Breast Cancer.

Jonathan Acott, 6 time Cancer survivor!!

I’m so excited to share the inspirational story on DJ Breast Cancer of Jonathan Acott, a 6 time cancer survivor.  This week’s Podcast is a lot of firsts, Jonathan is my first male guest and my first international guest!!  Jonathan is my friend through Instagram and is truly a testament to living life to the fullest after cancer.  Jonathan works on a lot of mental hurdles while training for his next challenge.  He has achieved many amazing physical challenges such as ultra-marathons, iron man competition, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, biking the distance of the United Kingdom, and walking on fire.   We talk about living fully, living with purpose.  Jonathan is essential living with a chronic disease, while showing no evidence of cancer currently.  Jonathan chooses to live his live on the positive side, enjoying the ride, and describes life as a training metaphor, and finding a true purpose in life.  Jonathan made me think about my Podcast in a different way, as a legacy to others.

Here are some great quotes that Jonathan shared with me:

“Know your limitations, not your limits”

“Cancer focused my mind, but broadened my horizons”

“People spend too much time focused on what they can’t do, instead of what they can do”

“Time is only a waste if you choose to waste it”

“Own your carrot, own your situation”

“Everyone’s cancer journey is their own, Only you can walk the path that you are on”
