DJ BREAST CANCER

A Podcast on Tina's Breast Cancer Journey, a "Girlfriend's Guide" to Breast Cancer.

Tina's story must be told.  She has lived the breast cancer journey both as the survivor and the daughter of one.  Tina knows both sides of the story.  She has been the ears that have heard, the eyes that have watched, and the hand holder.  She too has been the body that has been sick, weak, and worn.  Her soul has come forward with unyielding optimism about her own future and that of her fellow survivors.  Through her experiences, those affected by breast cancer will find inspiration that they too can hope for a promising future that will wipe away the pain of the past, replacing it with joy and gratitude.  Sit back and listen in to her inspirational Podcast debut, DJ Breast Cancer.

Part of Your World: with Rebecca Nelson & Stefani Yadarsz

Let me start by saying Podcasts in person are the absolute best!!! And recording with these amazing smarties was a blast!! I met Rebecca and Stefani at a breast cancer event in October. We did an interview together at a Francine’s Friends event and immediately hit it off! I asked them to be guests on DJ Breast Cancer and they said yes!!!!!! As big fans of podcasts, they were super excited and considered it a ”bucket list“ item.

Rebecca is a Genetics Counselor at Parkview Hospital. She is also an amazing singer and actively involved in theatre in Fort Wayne. Please take a listen to this podcast all the way to the end and take in her beautiful voice!!

Stefani is a Nurse Practitioner with a focus on high risk. Stefani often sees patients after Rebecca has given a genetics consultation to talk patients through screening options and being proactive. At the time of the recording Stefani was in her third trimester, patiently waiting for her beautiful daughter.

These ladies are so smart, so sharp, so understanding and so caring!! They truly are the whole package, a dream team if you have a looming scary high risk future. Together we talk about why they picked their profession, what does early detection mean to them, how do they feel about breast cancer awareness after being in their respective fields.

You will love this episode, I guarantee it!!! And I love the laughter that recording in person can bring! Connection is so important in this world! Women supporting women is such a beautiful thing!! Just as Rebecca came to support me in my podcast, I also went to see her in the play Matilda (spoiler alert, she was amazing!)
