What started as a way for me to communicate to my family and friends, has evolved into a passion and an outlet for my creativity, my feelings and pain. My blog on www.caringbridge.com (Search Tina Conrad) starts a time the very beginning with my double mastectomy and chronicles my journey with breast cancer. I remember definite turning point after my surgery and writing a very personal poem “Tears in the Shower” and deciding to share with everyone. I truly Mad even a conscious effort to be real and not sugar coat my journey and Cancer.
Episode 6 also describes the power of support... whether it‘s car rides to appointments, homemade lasagna, or weekly texts to see how you’re really doing, support is the lifeblood and energy that a cancer survivor needs to keep going (and going)... Cancer is a marathon, not a sprint. And you need a lot of people to cheer you on from the sidelines.
