A Podcast on Tina's Breast Cancer Journey, a "Girlfriend's Guide" to Breast Cancer.

Tina's story must be told.  She has lived the breast cancer journey both as the survivor and the daughter of one.  Tina knows both sides of the story.  She has been the ears that have heard, the eyes that have watched, and the hand holder.  She too has been the body that has been sick, weak, and worn.  Her soul has come forward with unyielding optimism about her own future and that of her fellow survivors.  Through her experiences, those affected by breast cancer will find inspiration that they too can hope for a promising future that will wipe away the pain of the past, replacing it with joy and gratitude.  Sit back and listen in to her inspirational Podcast debut, DJ Breast Cancer.

What started as a way for me to communicate to my family and friends, has evolved into a passion and an outlet for my creativity, my feelings and pain. My blog on (Search Tina Conrad) starts a time the very beginning with my double mastectomy and chronicles my journey with breast cancer. I remember definite turning point after my surgery and writing a very personal poem “Tears in the Shower” and deciding to share with everyone. I truly Mad even a conscious effort to be real and not sugar coat my journey and Cancer.

Episode 6 also describes the power of support... whether it‘s car rides to appointments, homemade lasagna, or weekly texts to see how you’re really doing, support is the lifeblood and energy that a cancer survivor needs to keep going (and going)... Cancer is a marathon, not a sprint. And you need a lot of people to cheer you on from the sidelines.
